A giving Christmas

Cheer at Christmas proceeds from the spirit of giving.

The children at both the Vetalnagar and Morwadi centres celebrated Christmas in their centres with a difference. Yes indeed, both centres had their parties including decorating the Christmas tree, a powerpoint on the story of Christmas, a drama and related art and craft. But the celebration did not stop there. The children armed with brooms, cleant their communities and roped in the other children and residents of the community to spread the message of community cleanliness and hygiene.

Now, you dont really have to be rich to give back to your community, do you?

Visit from Infosys Volunteers

A group of volunteers, 7 of them, led by Hemant Shah, from Infosys visited the children of the Morwadi Centre on Sunday, 20th December for an afternoon full of fun and games.
The volunteers assisted the children play Math and Language games. Through their interaction with the children, they helped reinforce conversational skills the kids have been learning in class. In small groups the volunteers also spoke about their jobs thus exposing the children to different careers as well.

We welcome many such groups of volunteers to our centres as our kids surely will benefit from these interactions.
